If one of your Federation citizens... say a wealthy and pro-democracy individual with considerable influence amongst the populace, someone at the top of your social structure... suddenly started espousing ideals in direct oposition to the foundations of your very society, you'd probably be concerned no?
Say this Federal citizen with influence was calling for, I don't know, mandatory slavery for the poor and race-based elections, you'd probably be none too happy, correct?
Thier goals would represent a direct challenge to the values that you hold dear, the values you feel make your whole society function.
I suppose at that point I would be correct to tell you to not try and do anything about it, as you suggest to me.
Hmm, you make a valid point. I suppose that part of my statement was mostly a cheap shot. One that you called, good on you.
I suppose we, as individuals, are destined to be ideological enemies.
I still believe that the Amarr and Gallente ways could both improve by taking inspiration from eachother, but I can see that my foundation for these beliefs may be ones you do not share. Others seem to do though, which brings me hope.
Each race can advance itself by learning from its partner races, learning how they are thought of and judged in the wider world.
If by taking inspiration from each other you mean that the Gallente Federation and the Amarrian Empire suddenly, or even slowly, come to be on mutually friendly terms you have misjudged both sides considerably.
Sure, but the Amarrians can learn from the society and fervour of the Gallente peoples, but their own culture and heritage are so far removed from them that the lessons are more of a "What not to do" and vice versa.
Oh sure, I know there is probably something positive buried deep down in the collective muck heap that the Federation holds dear but right now I can't find it, or have any want to.
